Product Introduction
The 6D ultraviolet safety meter is a laboratory and industrial grade handheld measuring instrument used to measure the harm of ultraviolet radiation to the eyes and skin.
The 6D ultraviolet safety meter is a valuable safety tool for any industry that involves workers being exposed to ultraviolet radiation. It is particularly sensitive to the hazardous ultraviolet radiation standards issued by the US government's Industrial Health Conference. This standard states that the total exposure to 270nm ultraviolet radiation within eight hours should not exceed 3 microjoules per square centimeter. The relationship between other potentially hazardous wavelengths and the 270nm spectral weighting function (see available figures in this menu). The safety meter displays the combined effect of all ultraviolet wavelengths from the light source.
The 6D ultraviolet safety meter is an independent detector handheld unit installed on the instrument panel. It consists of a sliding on/off switch. The maximum safe exposure time of one hour per hour and 1/100 parts is displayed on the LCD display. A 10 hour reading indicates that the light source is weak at this time and cannot reach the threshold limit within 8 hours of working days.
