The horizontal burning tester is used to test the burning performance of textiles. The stainless steel test box is equipped with a glass observation window, which automatically counts the time from the beginning of the sample combustion, accurate to 0.1s. The ignition time can be set freely. At present, the use of horizontal combustion testers is widely used in the textile and material industries and the frequency is also very high.
Under the specified conditions, place the sample obliquely at an angle of 45°, ignite the sample, and burn the sample upward for a certain distance with flame, which is used as a measure to evaluate the burning intensity of the textile. For fabrics with a napped surface, ignition or melting of the base fabric is used as an additional indicator of the intensity of burning, but must be specified.
The precautions for using the horizontal combustion tester mainly include the following points:
1. The user of this device must stabilize the power supply, otherwise the temperature will be changed due to excessive voltage fluctuation.
2. The thermocouple is only used for testing and calibrating the temperature. After calibration, mark the ammeter on the ammeter for the next test. After the temperature drops to normal temperature, carefully pull out the thermocouple from the glow wire, and then start do experiments.
3. The glow wire should not work at high temperature for a long time, so as not to shorten the service life of the thermocouple. After each use, the current should be reduced in time and the power supply should be cut off.
4. After each test, the combustion chamber should be cleaned when the power is cut off, and be careful not to collide with thermocouples and glow wires.
5. After the test is completed, the user can use the exhaust fan to exhaust the exhaust gas generated during combustion, but do not turn on the fan during the test, so as not to affect the test results.
6. If maintenance is required, especially the replacement of the glow wire, attention should be paid to re-tightening the screw that has been moved, otherwise the current circuit will be affected and the interface will become high temperature due to poor contact. After replacing the parts, the user should tighten all the screws.
7. The machine has an over-temperature protection function. When the set temperature is reached, the heating circuit will be automatically disconnected. Therefore, the preset temperature cannot be lower than the normal working temperature, otherwise it cannot work normally.
